You are in control of the information Lantore holds about you and your child. This page explains how to use your rights and how long we take. It is a beta draft pending legal review.
What you can do
- See and export what we hold about your child or your account.
- Correct details like your child's name, birth year and in-game names.
- Delete a child's data, an alert, or your whole account.
- Withdraw any permission (purpose) at any time. Turning off a required purpose stops monitoring.
- Revoke your guardian authority, which stops monitoring and disconnects the PC.
- Object or ask questions about how data is used.
Self-service in the portal
In the portal, open Children, then your child's Consent and authority panel. There you can export or delete data, change permissions and see the history of what you agreed to and when. Settings has an export and delete for your whole account, and the alert page can delete one alert and its screenshots immediately.
How long it takes
We answer every request within 30 days, and self-service exports and deletions are usually much faster. If a request is complicated we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
What we may keep
After a deletion we keep a minimal record that a verified guardian gave and withdrew consent, and that your request was handled, for as long as the law requires. It contains no chat text, and is deleted afterwards.
Asking us directly
Email privacy@lantore.com from the address on your account, or use the contact form. To protect your child we may ask you to confirm it is you before we act. We never ask for chat text, and we will not release information to anyone but the verified guardian.
If you are not happy
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, for example the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in Canada, New Zealand or Australia, or your state attorney general in the United States.
Children
If you are a child and have a question, ask your parent, or read the notice for children. Your parent can make these requests for you.
