We want everyone to be able to use Lantore, including guardians and children who use assistive technology. This statement is a beta draft pending legal review.
What we aim for
We build to WCAG 2.1 level AA. In practice that means:
- Everything works with a keyboard, with visible focus.
- Text has enough contrast in both the light and dark themes, and you can switch themes.
- Pages work with screen readers: headings, landmarks, labelled form fields, and text alternatives for images and charts (for example, the "recent apps" timeline also has a text version).
- Layouts work from small phones up, and respect "reduce motion".
- Color is never the only way we show something: severity always has a text label.
How we check
We run automated accessibility checks (axe-core) across every page and portal screen in both themes and on small and large screens, and fix serious problems before release. Automated checks do not find everything, and we have not yet had an independent audit.
Known gaps
- Screenshots in alerts are low resolution pictures of games and may not be readable by assistive technology. The alert's text excerpt is the accessible version.
- Our legal pages are written in plain language but some terms are unavoidable.
Tell us
